A special mention for Nahla’s love of Cairo’s cats and dogs. Everywhere we visited, Nahla took food for the animals. There’s a famous quote often attributed to Immanuel Kant:
“We can judge the heart of a person by their treatment of animals.”
Watching Nahla interact with animals we encountered throughout the trip said everything about her character. She is clearly a kind and thoughtful person, and that energy carried through the entire experience.
