Fabulous for 21 days throughout Egypt
Guides: All four of our female guides were very good, extremely knowledgeable, attentive to our interests and needs, and very skilled at coordinating with drivers and handling logistics. They easily conveyed depictions on temple/tomb walls, bringing ancient Egypt to life. We learned a lot about life in Egypt, past and present, the environment, the sites, geography, and the culture. They each spoke English very well for us Americans. We were always in good hands! We never once questioned our safety. It is fun to be with different guides – to meet more Egyptians, and hear different perspectives and different areas of expertise. Some guides had personality-plus, making it very enjoyable and memorable. From our experience, Egyptians are extremely warm, gracious, and welcoming people.
Nile Cruise: The 7-day cruise was great, especially on the new boat selected for our trip. (I could not have found it searching online.) The crew was fantastic and quickly became like family! Food was excellent. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable.
Drivers: We had many drivers over our 21-day trip. All were courteous and on time (or else alerted us about any delay). And they located us in the crowds. Most had very nice vehicles. One in particular was so nice, and so proud of his work – he washes his van every morning, was always polishing it, and was a very conscientious driver. Another shared how he believes in driving safely, and drove a very nice new SUV.
Lodging: There is something for everyone in Egypt
